This technical assistance aimed at improving the quality of technical, methodological and financial development of complete applications for grant proposals to be submitted in Local Calls for Non-State Actors and Local Authorities in Development corresponding to 2013. In particular they worked the following areas:
- Strengthen the knowledge and management of methodological procedures by potential beneficiaries to improve their preparation of the complete grant application emphasizing the following points: a) formulation of objectives; b) relevance of the action; c) description and effective action; d) methodology to implement for the development of the action; e) preparation of the indicative plan f) sustainability of the action.
- Strengthen methodological skills to prepare the logical framework; definition of activities, outcomes and indicators, under the requirements set by the European Union in the development of grant projects.
- Advise and assist project managers in developing a realistic budget (taking into account the time of implementation of the action, inflation, exchange legislation, etc.) and in accordance with the contractual procedures of the European Union and standards local calls for subsidy.
- Provide advice on contract procedures for grants in the context of external actions of the European Commission, both general and administrative and financial provisions in order to efficiently integrate the legal framework in the formulation of the grant application.
As a result of this intervention it was possible to identify the main weaknesses facing organizations in formulating their proposals, was oriented in the efficient development of the full grant proposal and 22 representatives of NSAs and ALs beneficiaries of this consultancy improved their knowledge to prepare projects.
